- The Cabinet welcomes the Annual African Union (AU) Summit's decision to provide support to Palestine, its people, and their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state of Palestine on the borders of 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital. The Cabinet also praises the AU's rejection of Israeli settlements, its tools and outcomes, in Jerusalem and the rest of the State of Palestine's lands.

- Palestine and Africa share similar experiences with injustice, oppression, racism, and settler colonialism. Together, we stand for the values of freedom, justice, human rights, humanitarian principles, and international law.

- We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the African leaders for their solidarity with our people in their rejection of the Israeli occupation and their demand to end it until realizing a viable, sovereign, and contiguous State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital and the right of return to Palestine refugees.

- We look forward to strengthening our relations with the African countries in various diplomatic and economic forms and to exchanging technical expertise and otherwise.

- The Cabinet commends the International Criminal Court (ICC) ruling, which Palestine's history will record as a memorable day for international justice and an achievement for the Palestinian cause. This ruling indicates the court's professionalism and its rejection of Israel's attempts to politicize its work and the international judiciary. We will continue documenting Israeli crimes against our people and our land. Those who fear the court must not commit crimes and must end their occupation of our land and people. History does not show mercy to oppressors, and the oppressed will triumph with their determination and insistence on freedom and independence.

- The Israeli leadership claims that Israel is the only democratic country in the Middle East. Still, the world has yet to realize that Israel is a colonial entity that confiscates Palestinian lands and properties while occupying, expelling, and dispersing our defenseless people.

- Today, we are witnessing two important, connected events: (1) The launch of the national dialogue between Palestinian factions to prepare for the legislative elections, scheduled on 22 May 2021. This dialogue is a gateway to renewing our democratic life on the foundations of freedom, pluralism, and political partnership. We are also satisfied with the elections' registration rate, which exceeded 82% of eligible voters, and 90% in some cities. This confirms our people's desire for democratic renewal and a new stage of national construction. I also urge those who have not registered for the elections to do so. (2)The Arab foreign ministers' emergency meeting will discuss providing support to the Palestinian people and their just cause. We look forward to the Arab backing of our people and their struggle against the occupation.  We also call upon them to adhere to the Arab peace initiative in the face of Israeli expansionist policies, restore the Palestinian question's prominence, and provide financial support to enhance our people's steadfastness on their lands.

- The Cabinet welcomes the election of Libya's interim executive authority under the United Nations' auspices and the appointment of Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibah as Prime Minister. We hope that our brothers in Libya will heal their wounds towards a comprehensive national recovery to restore the Arab and international role of Libya in support of the Palestinian question and other Arab issues. We also hope that this step will lead to the desired elections at the end of this year.

- The Ministry of Health will start the vaccination program in mid-February after the arrival of vaccines from multiple sources. Last week, we started vaccinating the healthcare personnel. Next week, we will begin vaccinating the most vulnerable people, those with chronic diseases and the elderly. Ministers and senior officials will receive the vaccine within their age groups upon the vaccination schedule.

- We reiterate our emphasis on the necessity of wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and limiting the holding of weddings and funerals.

- Land Crossings (bridges) with Jordan will open for those wishing to return to Palestine. As of this morning, around 450 passengers are allowed to travel per day. Only emergency cases are allowed to leave the country.

- We condemn the Israeli incursions into Palestinians cities and villages and the arrest and harassment of youth as happened in Ramallah and Al-Bireh at dawn today. We call on the international community to protect our people from such attacks.

- We congratulate Dr. Mai Al-Kaila, the Minister of Health, for being awarded the Woman of the Decade in Public Life and Human Entrepreneurship Summit from the International Women Entrepreneur Summit in Asia.
